The most successful family business in Central America, Corporación Multi Inversiones celebrates 100 years of working for the development of the region. Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez, who is one of the people in charge of the corporation, as well as CMI Capital, has mentioned that it has not been easy, but he is very grateful to his collaborators.
Anniversary of Corporación Multi Inversiones
CMI celebrates 100 years of work and support for the development of Latin America. The consortium began operations in 1920 thanks to Juan Bautista Gutiérrez, an immigrant who arrived in Guatemala from Spain in 1910. Today, Corporación Multi Inversiones is one of the largest multilatinas in the region, with a presence in 15 countries and more than 40,000 employees.
Currently, the corporation is led by the third generation of the family. “At CMI we believe and act based on one of my grandfather’s great teachings: Don’t leave for tomorrow what you can do today”, said Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez.
Today, after a century, CMI continues to work with the same enthusiasm and passion to preserve the legacy and commitment of Don Juan and all the people who build a better CMI every day. “A corporation that allows us to transcend as a family and bring with our products and services welfare and joy to the region”, expressed Bosch Gutierrez.
Through its business groups: Food and Capital, CMI seeks to create a sustainable impact in the communities where it operates, offering excellence and quality in all its products and services.
CMI Alimentos’ portfolio exceeds 170 brands of products and services that enjoy the public’s preference, including wheat and corn flour mills, pasta, sauces, and cookies production, as well as poultry, pork, processed products, and sausage manufacturing.
This company is also engaged in the manufacture of balanced food for animals and pets, and is part of the restaurant industry in Guatemala, with its Pollo Campero brand.
CMI Capital includes renewable energy generation projects, real estate development, and financial services businesses.
The 100 years of commitment at Corporación Multi Inversiones should be a cause for celebration for Central Americans, as this is one of the emblematic companies in the region and the continent.
