Yaxhá
Yaxhá is a huge Mayan city, which has majestic temples, large government buildings, and ceremonial plazas, as well as a ball game court and an astronomical observatory. It is an ideal place to learn and understand what this civilization was like.
In addition to the fauna, here you can observe a great diversity of flora, such as cedar, chicozapote, xate, guano, rubber tree, etc.
El Mirador
This archaeological site has the widest pyramid in the world and the highest in the entire American continent: La Danta. This is one of the oldest archaeological destinations in Mesoamerica.
Be aware that it is a long trip in a protected area.
Isla de Flores
This is a beautiful corner full of nightlife and spectacular sites. This island, which is surrounded by Lake Petén Itzá, is characterized by being picturesque and having many tourist attractions that make this place unique. You will find restaurants overlooking the lake and the island of Flores has many things to offer you.
Lake Petén Itzá
This impressive lake surrounds the island of Flores and has many activities that you can enjoy. To get to know this lake you can do it by boat, which will give you a tour of the entire area; you can also swim, kayak, banana float, and much more.
There are many hotels and restaurants, as its beaches are clear and are an intermediate destination to Tikal.

Actún Kan Caves
The name of these caves means “cave of snakes”. Here you will find a system of caves with the low difficulty of exploration. These beautiful caves have mystical and religious importance for the Maya, who during certain times of the year come to perform rites or celebrations.
This is a place you must explore and it is so close to Flores that you can return by bicycle. Around the caves, there are 70 hectares of forest with trails.
Las Delicias Waterfall
This spa has natural pools in which you can immerse yourself and unite with nature in a unique way. Here you will also find resting ranches, grills for cooking, trails under the forest, and a camping area.
If you want to wake up at dawn with this beautiful view, camping is a good option to live an adventure.
